14-day quarantine is mandatory for travelers

BANGALORE: Two months after the Covid-19 Lockdown Effect, domestic air traffic began on Monday, when 107 flights were flown from Kempegowda International Airport and more than 100 flights landed. According to sources, AirAsia’s first flight from 176 passengers left at 5.30 this morning. The flight from Chennai to Bangalore was followed by 113 passengers at 7.35 .

The state government says that travelers from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu are being tested for Covid-19 and must comply with a seven-day corporate quarantine and a seven-day home quarantine after their report comes out negative.

Travelers from other states are advised to stay in the 14-day Home Quarantine. Home quarantine is mandatory for pregnant women and children under the age of 10.

Entrepreneurs on emergency work are considered a special case, and they are exempt from quarantine. But the government has said they should report a Covid-19 negative and the report should not be more than two days old.
