Let Ramadan Mass Prayer: MLA Haris Appeal to CM
MLA Haris wrote to Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa asking for a mass prayer for Ramadan. The Muslim bandh is celebrating the Ramadan festival on the 24th or 25th of May 2020 based on the moon’s sign.On the day of Ramadan, the Muslim bandh offers special prayers. In the letter, he requested that mass prayers to be allowed in the Eidgah grounds or mosques.
He has appealed to the chief ministers to allow mass prayers on the day of Ramadan only if the situation is favorable with the advice of experts and doctors. It was heard that the Muslim leaders of the Congress had objected to CM Ibrahim’s letter. Nevertheless, it is debatable that legislator Haris wrote a request letter for the mass prayer.
Our request clearly states that ONLY if the #GOK gives permission & takes FULL responsibility, will we have prayers for EID. With the rise of COVID cases, the community has decided to pray at home. We urge the Govt to extend the lockdown until Covid situation is under control- MLA Haris.
